Welcome To Hotel Alice at Atlantic Beach
Pine Knoll Shores' Newest Hip and Stylish Boutique Hotel
Our hotel has been tastefully decorated to pay homage to Alice G. Hoffman, who was a local resident as well as a world traveler. Alice Hoffman was Eleanore Roosevelt's aunt. Since Alice Hoffman didn’t have any children of her own, she transferred her 2,000-acre waterfront ownership along Atlantic beach to her Roosevelt family, who in turn formed the early development of Pine Knoll Shores. With our ideal location, guests can easily visit the most sought-after and iconic attractions on the island, Morehead City, and the historic town of Beaufort.

History of Alice G. Hoffman
We have a story to tell! Hotel Alice at Atlantic Beach is inspired by world traveler and distant member of the Roosevelt family, Alice G. Hoffman. Alice had a lasting impact on our unique coastal community, and our Pine Knoll Shores hotel pays tribute to her legacy. Throughout her long life of traveling the world, buying many properties, and hosting lavish dinner parties at the Ritz, she also bought 2,000 acres of land on Bogue Banks, located only 4 minutes away from our hotel, and named her property the “Shore House.” She began purchasing bigger plots of land, creating a post office, a dairy farm, and more. In the beginning, this plot of land was very remote and rural, however, due to her committed drive, by the time she died at 91 years old in the Shore House, it had become incredibly more connected to the Pine Knoll Shores community. Alice had an undeniably respected influence on Pine Knoll Shores, its real estate, and its evolution and growth. We are happy to honor her unique legacy at Hotel Alice at Atlantic Beach.
